ARTSmemphis marks $100 million in grants
Eric Barnes | Daily Memphian
As ARTSmemphis passes the $100 million milestone in grants given to local arts organizations, it’s looking ahead to programs that fund more artists directly.
Elizabeth Rouse, ARTSmemphis’ president and CEO, joined me on this week’s episode of “The Sidebar” to talk about those new initiatives supporting artists in Memphis. But we also talked about the organization’s more than 50-year history in the community and about what it takes for arts organizations to be sustainable.
Take a listen.
“The Sidebar,” which airs every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. on WYXR 91.7 FM, is also available as a podcast here on the website or wherever you get your podcasts.
