ArtsMemphis wins national award for exemplary work at the intersection of the arts and community life

Today, Americans for the Arts named ArtsMemphis as the winner of its 2016 Robert E. Gard Award at the organization's Annual Convention in Boston, MA. The award recognizes exemplary work at the intersection of the arts and community life. The ArtsMemphis Community Engagement Fellowship Program was nominated for its groundbreaking curriculumwhich trains arts and civic leaders in how to use the arts as a tool for positive social change.  ArtsMemphis was one of just eight finalists, drawn from a pool of candidates spanning the entire country.  Check back for more details about this prestigious award in the days ahead!
