MEMPHIS, TN - (February 4, 2014) – ArtsMemphis is pleased to announce that Linda P. Steele has joined ArtsMemphis in its community engagement and outreach efforts.
Ms. Steele has assumed the role of ArtsMemphis’s Chief Engagement and Outreach Officer and will be in charge of further developing and executing the organization’s efforts to bring the community’s wide array of arts to people throughout the Memphis area, including those living in underserved neighborhoods.
Ms. Steele comes to ArtsMemphis following 12 years as an arts administrator and consultant. Her work includes experience with educational and arts non-profit institutions in New York City, Cleveland and Chicago, including program and grant management, fundraising, and extensive work related to audience and donor development and diversity.
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Ms. Steele earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College and her Master’s degree in Education from Harvard University. She is a graduate of the Arts Leadership Institute at Teachers College of Columbia University, after being selected as one of 25 emerging arts leaders to participate in the Arts Leadership Institute sponsored by JP Morgan Chase and the Arts and Business Council of New York.
