Applications open April 1 for TN Arts Commission Arts Build Communities Grant Program

The Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC) offers the Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant program in partnership with ArtsMemphis for organizations seeking support in the following West TN counties: Fayette, Lauderdale, Shelby, Tipton.

The Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant program is designed to provide support for arts projects that broaden access to arts experiences, address community quality of life issues through the arts, or enhance the sustainability of asset-based cultural enterprises.

Organizations are eligible if:
The organization is a nonprofit organization legally chartered in Tennessee
OR
The organization is an entity of government

Application Opens: April 1, 2021
Application Due: July 1, 2021 by 11:59pm

Join us for an information workshop to go over grant eligibility, application requirements and how to apply.

All Information Workshops will be held via Zoom. Registration is required for security purposes.

Examples of past projects:

  • Arkwings Festival - Frayser Local Arts Festival: Arkwings hosted the Second Annual Frayser Local Arts Festival, featuring multi-disciplinary arts performances, exhibits, artisan market, and interactive creativity stations. Grant funds were used for artist fees for Creative Leads to develop Visual, Performance, Outdoor, and Virtual components; Videographer/Event Photographer.
  • Crosstown Radio Partnership - WYXR Live Launch Series: Funds were used to pay 4 Memphis musical acts to perform live on the radio. Each act played for approximately 30 minutes and included a short interview where they shared their artistic vision and story.
