This Watercolor Workshop for beginners and advanced or returning students is a two part series. Enjoy a brief history of the medium of watercolor, Bill Branch demonstrating a watercolor sketch, and students following step by step in their first painting on Friday evening. Saturday, participants will paint the daffodils “en plein air” in several sections of the gardens.

Join Brent Heath to hear his suggestions about grooming, staging and preparing flowers for entry into the Daffodil Show. Pick young flowers, put them in water and bring them to the potting hub at noon to get some professional advice about exhibiting your favorite blooms to their best advantage.
Brent will assist in identifying the names of flowers in the Winegardner Auditorium on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning during the entry times.

The Dixon is pleased to host its second annual Daffodil Show. Entries will be received on Friday, March 16, from 1 until 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday, March 17, from 8 until 10:30 a.m.. Judging will occur from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The show will be open to the public during the hours indicated above. The Glass Menagerie

Originally written as a short story titled "Portrait of a Girl in Glass," this American Southern classic was later dramatized by Mississippi-born Tennessee Williams. Considered by many to the most autobiographical of his works, the play was conceived fuzzily and lovingly as from memory. Presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. on behalf of the University of the South, Sewanee, Tenn.
