Working together to make Memphis a richer, more vibrant city.

ArtsMemphis owes special thanks to a number of groups and individuals who we consider to be “ambassadors of belief.” They share our passion for the arts and their vision and support have made this exciting new website possible.
In order to engage a broader base of arts supporters in the Memphis area, the Assisi Foundation of Memphis, Inc . along with additional support from the National Endowment for the Arts and Jeniam Founation, has generously funded the Audience Development Initiative (ADI), being spearheaded by ArtsMemphis in collaboration with some 200 local arts and cultural organizations. The development of this interactive on-line arts calendar is a key component of ADI, and we thank the Assisi Foundation and its Board of Directors for partnering with ArtsMemphis to make this available to benefit the entire community. Through their support, and especially the vision and guidance of Dr. Jan Young and Karen Kitchens, we are all working together to make Memphis a richer, more vibrant cultural community for everyone. The Board of Directors of ArtsMemphis, chaired by Anne Stokes, and our Marketing Committee comprised of Tom Owens, Claudia Tullos-Leonard, Bill Carkeet, Jonny Ballinger, Brad Johnson (chair), Jacque Bailey, and Manuel Zavala who provide us with their guidance and support, and for this, and for all they do for us and for the community, we thank them.We are also grateful to the boards and leadership of our arts and cultural organizations who are teaming with us to share information about the incredible offerings of concerts, museums, festivals, recreation, performances, classes, tours and everything else that makes up our world famous Memphis vibe.
