Greater Memphis United Chinese Association (GMUCA)
GMUCA, a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) Tax Exemption Status. The purpose of the Association is to promote Chinese culture and education, and to enrich civic and social activities in the local community. GMUCA have several entities that serve the community at daily bases. These entities are 1) Memphis Chinese Language School (MCLS): part-time school teaching Chinese and Chinese Culture; 2) Memphis Chinese Times (MCT): a bi-weekly published Chinese newspaper; 3) Memphis Chinese Culture and Art Performance Group (MCCAPG): conducting performance for culture exchange and multicultural development; 4) Memphis Chinese Community Teenage Volunteers (MCCTV): MCCTV is creating and organizing various teenage volunteer activities. All of the above entities are operated by volunteers.
