Back in May, we launched The ArtsMemphis Brokerage Firm Challenge -- an exciting partnership with three of Memphis's top financial firms: FTB Advisors, Raymond James, and Wunderlich Securities. Here's how it worked: we gave each firm a list of 200 past donors to ArtsMemphis who had yet to make a gift in our current fiscal year. From there, volunteers from each of the three companies got to work calling these past donors and seeking renewed gifts and pledges.
So which firm brought in the most donations for ArtsMemphis??? Drumroll please...
Our friends at Raymond James raised over $55,000!!! This wonderful funding will make a huge impact on our ability to support Memphis's extraordinary arts community. Each year, ArtsMemphis make grants to over 60 different organizations -- including Ballet Memphis, the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Soulsville Foundation, and dozens of others -- along with scores of individual artists and musicians.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone at Raymond James, along with the generous folks at FTB Advisors and Wunderlich Securities for taking part in Year One of what we expect will be an annual program. And special thanks to the creator of the Brokerage Firm Challenge, longtime ArtsMemphis Trustee John Pettey III*, and to all the wonderful volunteer callers: Justin Barden, Ted Cashion, Eustis Corrigan, Will Deupree, Omar El-Aazami, Yvon Foster, Robert Gooch, Walker Hays, George Hart, Ricky Hunt, Stan Jones, Amy Koch, Dean Makinster, Grant McDermott, Wilson Moore, Field Norris, John Pettey IV, Will Plyler, Jeremy Ramsey, Kathy Simonetti, Matthew Sligh, Michael Smith, John Strange, William Waits, and Anneliese Watts.
