Memphis, TN - (September 6, 2016) – Today ArtsMemphis publicly announced the appointment of three new members to the ranks of its Board of Directors. The new members comprise top executives from some of the city’s most prominent companies. They are: Jon Ernst (Vice President/General Manager of Foodservice Business at International Paper); Reginald R. Paige, Sr. (Associate General Counsel at Evergreen Packaging Inc.); and Ashley Patterson (In-House Trial Counsel at FedEx).

Other recent additions to the ArtsMemphis Board include Oscar Adams (SVP of Trading Strategies at IBG - Vining Sparks); C. David Biggers, Jr. (Executive Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office); Kate Gilliland Connell (Investment Manager at Gilliland Investments); and Kathy Gale Uilhorn (Community Volunteer).

According to ArtsMemphis President & CEO Elizabeth Rouse, “these strategic additions to our board nicely bolster the skills and background of our existing members.” Board Chairman Bruce Hopkins, of First Tennessee Bank, agrees. “The highly accomplished individuals we’ve elected over the last several months are going to bring a lot of new energy and talent to ArtsMemphis.”

The 54-year-old organization is coming off a very successful year in which they awarded 200 grants, totaling $2.95 million for 69 local arts organizations and 28 individual artists. Meanwhile, non-designated donations to ArtsMemphis rose by 40 percent over the year before (by dollars raised), and they ended their fiscal year with a healthy budget surplus. Overall, the organization has invested upwards of $40 million into the arts during the last decade.
