    Goldie Street arrives in a small town after he and his younger
    brother have murdered their father. Goldie looks to show his hands,
    his carpentry skills to the owner of a wood shop, but he's distracted
    when he sees and falls in love with a washerwoman Serra. After
    they're married, Goldie befriends an angry cripple named Runny
    Rodger and the educated dairy plant manager Theodore Bell. Each
    character struggles with a character flaw that betrays their
    happiness. This tragic play written and directed by and starring
    Hattiloo’s founder Ekundayo Bandele examines the war between
    the truth-knowing mind and the lie-pumping heart.
