According to writer Joe Nick Patoski, Mary Lindsay Dickinson “had a front row seat at the creation of the Memphis sound and has been inventing herself along the way ever since.” Married to legendary music producer Jim Dickinson and mother of Luther and Cody Dickinson of the North Mississippi Allstars, Hill Country Revue and Black Crowes, Dickinson is, in Patoski’s words, “a teacher of life” who will present words, photographs, films and music from her late husband’s memoirs and discuss his legacy.

Presented in conjunction with the Second Jim Dickinson Folk Festival, held at the Levitt Shell on September 19. Sponsored by the Mike Curb Institute for Music at Rhodes College and the Memphis Music Foundation. For more information call 901.544.6200.

The Brushmark Restaurant is open for brunch from 11 am – 2:30 pm. To make dinner reservations please call 901.544.6225.
