In this "moralized fable" by Nathaniel Hawthorne, a witch is so proud of the scarecrow she builds that she decides to bring it to life. Disguising her creation as a gentleman, she sends him out into the world to make mischief. Will he be able to pass unnoticed among the other "empty-headed" people in the town? "Feathertop" is now available for free streaming and download from the Chatterbox website, www.chatterboxtheater.org.
