    Throughout history, humans have crafted armaments for both offensive and defensive purposes. Ranging from simple axes and shields to complex guns and armor, the myriad weapons developed over the centuries reflect the evolution of technology, class, myth making, and personal identity.

    Live in the Galleries ReMix:
    Medieval Atmosphere 6:30 pm - 7:15 pm

    Our Portuguese-born preparator Luis Seixas juxtaposes ancient and modern, transforming the Moss Gallery into a candlelit medieval monastery and filling the space with music from his own collection of contemporary sounds.

    ART OPEN LATE is this Thursday!The Brooks stays open late every Thursday, 52 nights a year! Expect the unexpected, from gallery tours and artists talks, to films, musical performances and art-making activities, plus Brooks Milongas (tango dancing) in the Rotunda every third Thursday.
