After screenings at MoMA, the Getty, the Sundance Film Festival, the Berkeley Art Museum and the Walker Art Center, artist/musician/filmmaker Brent Green comes to the Brooks with the moving true story of a Kentucky hardware clerk, Leonard Wood, who built a crazy quilt house for his wife, Mary—a sort of healing tower to the heavens—to appeal to God to save her from cancer. The Brooks performances will feature musicians Brendan Canty (Fugazi) and the Bitter Tears performing a live soundtrack to the film featuring Theremin, cello, horn, and foley sound effects. Co-sponsored by Indie Memphis.
