Florence Valdes-Forain is preparing the catalogue raisonne of the work of Jean-Louis Forain, her great-grandfather. A graduate of the Institut d'etudes Politiques, Paris, she holds a master's degree in art history from the Sorbonne. She has served as a consultant and collaborator on catalogues for several museums, including the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, Fondation de l'Hermitage (Lausanne), and Museo Thyssen- Bornemisza (Madrid). She has contributed articles to publications such as La Revue du Musee d'Orsay, L'Oeil, and Le Monde d'Hermes. She serves as an expert appointed by the Court of Appeals of Versailles.
