    Object Lessons: Modern Still Lifes and Objects from Cézanne to Willie Cole



    Join Patterson Sims, exhibition organizer of Deep Impressions: Willie Cole Works on Paper, for a look at Cole’s work in the context of modern objects and still lifes. Sims will explore how objects are used and depicted in European, American, and African art since 1900 within the context of Willie Cole’s art, as well as discuss key artists and art movements of the last 100 years including Cubism, Precisionism, Pop Art, and Minimalism. Free with museum admission. Before the talk, have dinner at the Brushmark Restaurant, which is open from 5 to 9 pm. For dinner reservations call 901.544.6225.
