"BIG BAD BASS" Workshop

Stax Music Academy's SoulSchool Spring Break's "BIG BAD BASS" is a one day, fully comprehensive workshop for bass players of every skill level, adults and youth. A variety of classes will be conducted throughout the day ranging from Jazz Bass Styles to Double Bass Techniques facilitated by university profressors and musicians, Tim Goodwin, John Chiego, Jackie Clark, Barry Campbell, Vincent Oglesby, including a two-hour Master Class conducted by world renown bassist, Marcus Miller! Marcus Miller has worked with artists such as Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Grover Washington Jr., Bob James and David Sanborn, among others. He has appeared as a bassist on over 400 records. Valero Refinery is a major sponsor for the "Big Bad Bass" workshop.
