Homemade Jamz’ Blues Band consist of 3 young siblings: Ryan Perry (18) lead guitar & vocal; Kyle Perry (16) bass player; and Tanya Perry (12) drummer. The band started out when Ryan found his father’s electric guitar. He was only 8 years old at the time, but by the end of the first week he had made up a short instrumental tune that led him to participate in the school talent show. When the family handed Kyle his first bass guitar on his 9th birthday, it was like magic. He managed to learn all the bass tunes to the songs his older brother was performing. Little sister Taya ended up jumping into the mix on drums when she was only 7, and in 3 short years, the young siblings have become one of the best blues bands around. They have kept busy touring the festival circuit and have had two national TV appearances recently: the Today Show on NBC, and the CBS Sunday Morning News. Beale Street Caravan catches up with Homemade Jamz at the Dixon Gardens in Memphis, TN.

Also this week, we've got a set of acoustic, Delta blues from Robert Wolfman Belfour at the 2010 Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, TN.

Guest Host, Scott Dirks, tells us more about Chicago Blues.
