Add Review/Comment
Berlioz’s great masterpiece includes all things French including a stately ballroom, a journey to the countryside, a march to the guillotine, and more! Hear this orchestral tour-de-force alongside the impressionistic Nocturnes of Debussy that depict three paintings by American painter James McNeill Whistler, one of the few American artists on display at the Louvre. Mei-Ann Chen, conductor. Special guests: Karen Busler, flute, Women of the Memphis Symphony Chorus. Program: Debussy: Nocturnes, Dove: Magic Flute Dances, Berlioz: Symphonie Fantastique.
