    Tito Puente Jr. carries his father with him- reflected in his physical being, his soul, his looks, his joy and his music. Every time he walks on stage, it’s in his father's footsteps. Determined to nurture his musical legacy, Tito, Jr. says, "He was just too vibrant, too exciting. There was magic in the music my father made. It made people happy, all over the world. My goal is to keep it alive, and in doing so, expose it to a whole new generation." Born and raised in New York City, Puente felt the rhythms of the music before he could walk or talk. His arrangements, influenced by the rhythms of Mexico, South America and the Caribbean, add a modern edge to the sensuous music of the Latin tradition. His Memphis debut with his orchestra will close the Buckman season in a Fiesta Grande with music that moves your feet, soul and spirit.
