    Filmmaking is for students who want an authentic experience in the art and process of digital filmmaking. Students are asked to submit a script proposal for the movie they'd like to make. Participants perform collectively as a film production team, first choosing a project from among those submitted by the students, and in the course of nine full-day sessions, take that idea from conception to completion. Students have the opportunity to experience hands-on training each step of the way from pre- to post-production. The finished film will be screened at the Summer Showcase Closing Reception on August 1. For consideration, a script proposal (maximum one page) must be submitted. Instructor – Howard Gray is a native Memphian and an active participant in the Memphis independent film community. He brings a rich experience in all aspects of digital film gained from working alongside numerous filmmakers on a variety of projects, both independent and commercial, including his own award-winning short films.
