The setting is the bombed-out, post-apocalyptic sanctuary of a church, where the Reverend Eddie prepares to deliver his final sermon: “Life is Like a Basketball Game.” Assisted by his faithful helper, the hunch-backed Brother Lawrence, Reverend Eddie first embarks on a series of bizarre visions. Constantly on guard to the ever present “Illuminati”, Reverend Eddie grapples with his sanity and Brother Lawrence’s endless energy and bottomless cheerfulness.
