MUSIC

Sunrise, Spring, and a Midsummer's Night
February 26, 2011
Add Review/Comment
IRIS and the Tennessee Shakespeare Company will join forces on February 26, 2011, for a creative exploration of Shakespeare's drama A Midsummer’s Night Dream through the prism of Michael Gandolfi's evocative music. This evening of storytelling is complemented by Copland's suite from Appalachian Spring, as well as the Siegfried Idyll, the extraordinary musical gift Richard Wagner first presented to his wife at sunrise to celebrate the birth of their son.
