Zac Harmon the Pocono Blues Festival in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania Chico Banks at the 1998 Eureka Blues Festival in Eureka Springs, Arkansas Sometimes it takes a long time to become an overnight sensation. Zac Harmon was recently awarded the best new artist by XMRadio's listener poll but he's been toiling away at his craft for years. The Jackson, Mississippi native has written and produced such notables As the O'Jays and Alexander Oneal, but lately he's been taking center stage and since then there's been no looking back. Chico Banks was a rising young blues artist from Chicago when this recording was made in 1997. Along with Benard Allison he was one of a handful of young artists expanding the traditional Chicago Blues sound that continues to resonate with contemporary audiences around the world. Chico Banks died young at 47 on December 2, 2008 but his music lives on. Dick Raichelson / The Real Beale
