Troy Andrews, AKA Trombone Shorty, is another one of those unique artists that showcase the ever evolving story of New Orleans music. Growing up in the Treme neighborhood of New Orleans that spawned jazz and the likes of Louis Armstrong, Trombone Shorty has taken the root of New Orleans jazz and funk and grafted it to a strong rock beat that resonates with youngsters of the Nora Jones set as well as traditionalists such as Winton Marsalis.
