"Every now and then, dance rocks your world with a blend of intelligence and beauty, rigorous structure and inventive choreography and integrity of performance so singularly wrought that it rips your expectations from their moorings. Uri Sands does that." The Star Tribune Founded by McKnight Artist Fellows and former Alvin Ailey dancers Toni Pierce-Sands and Uri Sands, TU Dance reaches across styles, drawing on a broad range of traditions from contemporary ballet to modern and conventional forms. Celebrated for their fluid, precise movement and captivating choreography, TU Dance reveals the connective power of dance and human emotion. Uri, one of Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch" and recipient of the Princess Grace choreography award, is today's most sought after choreographer and a revered dancer, working extensively with such esteemed companies as Ailey, Complexions and North Carolina Dance Theatre.
