    Book by Harvey Fierstein, Lyrics and Music by Jerry Herman Directed by Mitzi Hamilton Music direction by Gary Beard A light-hearted and sentimental musical featuring the music of Jerry Herman (Hello Dolly!, Mame). Georges and his lover Albin (who stars at their St. Tropez drag nightclub) have lived happily together for many years when Georges' son arrives with news that he is engaged. Unfortunately, his fiance's father is head of the "Tradition, Family and Morality Party" whose stated goal is to close the local drag clubs. How the prospective in-laws meet, reveal their differences and escape potentially disastrous political situations ensures a night of hilarity and warmth. Based on film of the same title (also the source material for the movie The Birdcage), this musical is flamboyant and affirming.

          The cast and crew did an oustanding job. A truly amazing performance. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to see high energy and amazing talent!
