    Tennessee Shakespeare Company is holding auditions for the 2009-10 season! The Season: In October, TSC will present A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM outdoors in Germantown, TN. For us, it is a play about opposition necessarily finding its peaceful center, or Self, or God, or offspring, or harmony. The influences on our production are the works of Dr. Carl Jung, artist Marc Chagall, Joseph Campbell, Russian Gypsy music and the symbolic language of astrology. The spring of 2010 will see JULIUS CAESAR, this time played inside on a site-specific location. We would use a minimal text, run it in two hours, and create a taut, touring production for the future. And it would be a professional, eight-actor, all-female production. The Auditions: As always, performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are strongly encouraged to attend. Local Equity and Non-Equity auditions will be held in Memphis on May 2, with callbacks scheduled for May 4. Appointments are required, and scheduling is now available.
