A special evening of short films programed by Micro Cinema Club founder Will O'Loughlen to celebrate the series' 50th show.

    The lineup includes:

    * AT THE QUINTE HOTEL by Bruce Alcock -- A rollicking interpretation of the well-known poem by Al Purdy, using almost every animation technique in the book.

    * TRAVELING IN CIRCLES by Kate Hetland -- Some travel to leave. Some travel to arrive. Some people travel to get their feet of the ground, and some to never have to put them down.

    * MR. FREEWAY by Kenneth Hughes -- An original version of Carmina Burana sung in Latin with acoustic guitar sets the musical backdrop for a visual poem about a man running on the freeways of Los Angeles in search of his other.

    * I F***ING HATE YOU by Zak Forsman -- A raw, compelling glimpse into a young man's charmingly ill-conceived scheme to redeem himself in the eyes of his ex-girlfriend.

    * BIG MISTAKE by Dan Turner -- One mistake can cost you everything.

    * DETROIT NOT FOR WIMPS by Leigh Richert -- Wedgies, bullies, spitballs, and monsters! It's tough being a pair of kid brothers in Detroit during the late 70's. Especially when you hate each other.

    * DINNER TABLE by Song E. Kim -- On an ordinary day, a couple is having dinner. The girl casually asks him how the food is. He briefly answers. While the conversation at the dinner table remains ordinary and mundane, the animated images jump back and forth between the dinner table and her mind's eye.

    * A PAINFUL GLIMPSE INTO MY WRITING PROCESS by Chel White -- A dark and humorous stream-of-conscious look at the writing process, told with animated images straight from the subconscious.

    * BEIJING HAZE by J.P. Chan -- A new Chinese immigrant smokes her last cigarette from home, evoking memories of her last day in Beijing. And more!
