Memphis College of Art presents A Dog's Life March 9 through April 10 in the Main Gallery, Rust Hall, located at MCA's campus in Overton Park. A reception is Friday, March 20 from 6-8 pm. Curated by Beth Edwards, the paintings, drawings and prints in this exhibition comprise twenty-two artists' comments upon the plight of dogs. These works reveal feelings of delight, fond companionship and love, as well as respect and fear. Artists include: Laurie Hogin, David Hockney, Julie Heffernan and Roy de Forest. Donations benefit the Memphis Humane Society. Katey Schneider, a painter and illustrator also represented in the exhibition, will lecture on Thursday, April 9 at 7 pm in Callicott Auditorium.
