    Dan brings a rock music sensibility to the singer-songwriter genre, along with the ability to shine a strong light into some very dark corners. "Rosetta, Please," his third CD, is a unique story-song cycle -- each song stands out on its own, but they also cohere into a powerful whole. It's a bar-stool story delivered with a musical punch that keeps you coming back for more. Not for those who want a double-dose of sugar with their music, but highly recommended for the rest of us." Dan's current live band, The Dan Montgomery 3+1, consists of Dan - vocals, acoustic guitar & harp along with Robert Mache (ex Continental Drifters, Steve Wynn) - electric guitar, mandolin and vocals. Louis Meyers(Tennessee Boltsmokers, Killbilly) - pedal steel guitar, banjo and Andrew Simons(Groundspeak) - upright bass & vocals. Having played together for most of the last year, The DM3+1 have a looser, more improvisational feel than previously felt on Dan's releases.
