    "As You Like It" Lecture

    A lecture at Rhodes College by Dr. Paul Kottman on "As You Like It," generously supported through a bequest from Dr. Iris Annette Pearce. The lecture will take place Friday, October 3 at 2pm in Buckman Hall 110. Dr. Kottman, Assistant Professor of English at the New School (NYC), is the author of two books on Shakespeare, including the recently published "A Politics of the Scene" (Stanford 2008). He is also the editor of "Philosophers on Shakespeare" (JHU, forthcoming), translator of two volumes by the Italian philosopher Adriana Cavarero, and author of essays in numerous literary and philosophical journals. Dr. Kottman's lecture coincides with the inaugural season of the Tennessee Shakespeare Company, which premieres "As You Like It" that same weekend.
