Join us for the inaugural season of Tennessee Shakespeare Company, the Mid-South's only professional, classical theatre. Experience William Shakespeare's romantic, woodland comedy as never before: as Elizabethan environmental theatre. The first part of the play is performed in the round inside St. George's Church until Rosalind and Touchstone take you with them for their escape outdoors to the magical, moonlit Forest of Arden where "All the world's a stage..." Directed by founder Dan McCleary and set in Memphis during the Scotch-Irish immigration when the Delta was a cultural melting pot and the trains began pulling out to the east, As You Like It features live Celtic music performed by Susanna Perry Gilmore and Planet Reel. This is Shakespeare for all ages, played in the audience, with vitality and courage in settings where anything can happen!
