"Fiona's World," Cheevers' latest CD, is a collection of "Delta-Celtic music" , which Bob translates as, "Celtic tunes dipped in Mississippi Delta mud." Cheevers' singular style has won over a host of "Cheevers Believers" over the years. Though a slight departure from the sound that's won over many of the Believers, it maintains the same depth and soulful delivery of his most critically acclaimed releases. The Believers will not be disappointed! During a show on his 2006 UK summer tour, Bob Cheevers was playing in Southampton and noticed a lovely woman sketching him. Afterward, the artist presented him with the drawing and the two connected intellectually. Thus began a mystical journey and symbiotic relationship that inspired forty poems and sixteen songs in a few months time. From this body of work comes "Fiona's World." The very sketch that brought the two together graces the cover. From the artist?s honest look at his life?s journey in "What I've Done for Love," to the tender imaginings of "Plans to Meet in Paris," to the hopeful stock-taking of "Every Beauty," Cheevers charts the complex, heady, magical, unknowable journey through love and illuminates the path as he goes. Bob Cheevers grew up in Memphis and lived in Los Angeles, Nashville and now Austin four of America's premier music cities. Cheevers is a two-time Americana Top 20 artist whose music videos have won a total of 8 Emmys including "Best Musical Composition."
