Basic Blacksmithing I

Basic Blacksmithing I is designed to acquaint students with the fundamentals of blacksmithing. Students learn to build and manage a fire, study the use of blacksmithing tools, proper hammer and striking techniques, basic forging techniques and work on specific projects such as coat or pot racks. Tuition of $210 covers tools and materials. Students must provide their own safety glasses, hearing protection and gloves. This course will also be offered November 15-16, 2008 and January 10-11, 2009,
