    The Daddy Mack Blues Band
    At The Center For Southern Folklore

     

    The hardest working urban blues band in Memphis, The Daddy Mack Blues Band, returns to the stage at the Folklore Store Saturday, July 19 at 9:00 p.m. Admission is only $5.00. The Folklore Store is located at 123 S. Main @ the Peabody Trolley Stop in downtown Memphis

     

    Self-taught guitarist Mack Orr made his first big splash in the local blues scene as a member of the legendary Memphis-based blues band, The Fieldstones. Over the years, Mack and his crew have garnered the respect and adulation of blues fans around the world including rock royalty Keith Richards and Ron Wood who joined the band onstage at a party for Memphis’ Blues Foundation. Along the way, the band has also placed three consecutive albums in the Top Ten of the national blues charts – “Fix It When I Can,” “Slow Ride” and “Bluestones.”

     

    Mechanic by day, bluesman by night Daddy Mack Orr knows what working hard is all about – whether in his garage or on stage. Mack and his bandmates, Harold Bonner, James Bonner and William Faulkner, bring that work ethic to each and every one of their shows. Over the years, that hard work has paid off as the Daddy Mack Blues Band has established itself as one of the best party bands in the land – and the intimate Center for Southern Folklore Store is the perfect setting to experience this dynamic blues band up close and personal.
