Inspired by the tales of the Brothers Grimm, fairy-tale characters cross paths in the darkness of the magical woods only to learn that "wishes come true, not free." Sondheim's wickedly witty score weaves an enchanting spell as each pursue individual wishes until their stories become entangled in unexpected ways - revealing what happens after "happily ever after." Rediscover the joys and sorrows and the laughter and tears as they journey on a path which examines family values, community responsibility, and the consequences of actions in a world where "no one is alone." A 1988 Tony Award-winner for Best Book and Best Musical Score as well as 2002 Best Revival, this musical masterpiece celebrates its 20th anniversary.

Sondheim music is always difficult to perform. These musicians/instrumentalists/actors were on top of every song! Congratulations!
