    This six-time Tony Award-winning musical unlocks the passion and romance of 1953 Italy where beauty, culture, and true love abound. When an American tourist traveling with her daughter encounters a handsome Florentine who catches the young girl's eye, she endeavors to impart the difference between idealized and realistic notions of love. But as her child's fraught yet ardent courtship takes flight, it is the protective mother who learns how children perceive love and how adults know it to be.
