Leon Fleisher

Add Review/Comment
Renowned pianist, conductor and teacher Leon Fleisher is now in his sixth decade before the public. He made his debut with the New York Philharmonic in 1944 at age 16. Twenty years later, Fleisher was suddenly struck silent when two fingers of his right hand became immobile. Not to be curtailed, Fleisher continued his career as a conductor and teacher while learning the extensive repertoire for piano left-hand. Recently, Fleisher has been playing with both hands again and has just made his first two-handed recording in 40 years.
