The New Ballet professional ensemble, integrated wtih the New Ballet School, brings its exciting blend of classical, contemporary and urban styles to the Buckman's fall season in FreeFall with choreography by former Alvin Ailey dancer, Uri Sands and New Ballet Resident Artist, Kevin Trent Thomas, formerly of Dance Theater of Harlem. New Ballet welcomes guest artist, Tiffany Glen, member of Collage Dance Collective, Mr. Thomas' New York company. Ms. Glen will perform Rosa, a tribute to Rose Parks to the music of Roberta Flack. Robin Sanders and New Ballet Hip Hop Artists bring the streets to the stage in a surprising new work that traces the roots of hip hop to Africa, and the U Dig Jookin Academy performs "Three Kings", featuring a dynamic trio of Jookin' artists. This urban dance style, unique to Memphis, is garnering attention worldwide as a social dance that has become a viable art form associated with Memphis
