When many mothers of generations past were flustered with the pains of civil unrest or heartbreak, they refused to let agony have the last word; they birthed lyrics and melody as their language for talking back. This Mother's Day weekend, Rebirth of Soul will honor queens in soul that vocalized their woes in tune by paying tribute to Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, and Chaka Khan through song, dance, and theatrics.

    My sister purchased tickets for her, my 19 yr old brother, me, my mom, and stepfather. We took our mom for mother's day and had a great time. Each act was great and interacted with the audience. The venue was the perfect size, big enough, but still intimate. We danced and sang along. My mom really had a great time and so did her three children! Thanks and I look forward to it next year!
