The Saturday concert will be at the Cannon Center while the next day's concert will be at the Symphony's Sunday home, Germantown Performing Arts Centre, at 1801 Exeter Road. Violinist James Ehnes performs Elgar's Violin Concerto which is considered one of the most challenging in the repertoire. In addition, the MSO will perform a new American work by composer Joan Tower. The First Tennessee Masterworks concert is sponsored by Scott and Carolyn Heppel in memory of Joe Parker.
