Giaocchino Rossini Cinderella (La Cenerentola) centers on a beautiful young girl, the antics of her evil step-family, and the prince who saves her. An Opera Memphis premiere, this operatic version replaces the wicked stepmother with a bumbling stepfather. Otherwise, audiences will recognize similarities between the opera and the version made familiar by Disney. Sung in Italian with English titles.
