An art auction, with the proceeds going towards the maintenance of the Cooper Young Trestle Art. This work of public art was created by local metalsmith Jill Turman and was dedicated in 2000. The Cooper Young Community Association received grant funds from the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis and the Urban Arts Commission to create this gateway to our neighborhood.

    I really enjoyed the Auction last year. There was a great variety of art auctioned in both the silent and live auctions. I love the idea of the community supporting local art work such as the train... Expand

    I really enjoyed the Auction last year. There was a great variety of art auctioned in both the silent and live auctions. I love the idea of the community supporting local art work such as the train trestle with replicas of historic houses. Also, it appeared there was a lot of recognition given to the Artists who donated. Super event...look forward to going again this year. Collapse
