Theatre
Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
June 20-June 29, 2008
This Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. A young man's dreams get him into trouble with his 11 brothers, who sell him into slavery. A series of misfortunes befall him until his gift at interpreting dreams raises him to great power, and reunites him with those he loves. DeSoto Family Theatre is a non-profit community theatre organization dedicated to providing family-oriented theatre arts opportunities to DeSoto and surrounding counties. These opportunities include, but are not limited to attending or participating in one of our productions.

About ArtsMemphis
Known around the world for its blues and rock and roll, Memphis has a recognizable special vibe. ArtsMemphis exists to nurture this unique character and to magnify the city’s creative voice. We are a 45-year-old arts funding organization (the sixth largest in the United States), which provides annual operating and project support to 23 arts groups and administers some 150 additional grants on a year to year basis. The ArtsMemphis tagline is “your support matters” and indeed it does. As major fundraisers, grant-makers and arts promoters in the city, ArtsMemphis contributed more than $4 million to the Memphis arts community in 2007, and it is a fact that 95 cents of every dollar raised in our annual campaign is directed to our funded organizations. ArtsMemphis builds partnerships among artists, arts groups, donors, educators and culture lovers throughout the city and region. Recognizing that a lively arts scene has a major economic impact and is essential to the quality of life in Memphis, ArtsMemphis is encouraging the entire community to interact with the arts like never before. The current enhanced website with its expanded calendar of events has been introduced with that goal in mind.
