    The Memphis Rock 'n' Soul museum's exhibition about the birth of rock and soul music, created by the Smithsonian Institution, tells the story of musical pioneers who, for the love of music, overcame racial and socio-economic barriers to create music that shook the entire world. Your first stop to exploring all the sounds that came together to make Memphis the epi-center of popular music, the Rock 'n' Soul museum also has the distinction of being the only Smithsonian museum located outside of our nation's capital.
