Martha Graham Dance Company
February 29, 2008
Add Review/CommentFounded in 1926 by American dance icon Martha Graham, the Martha Graham Dance Company is the oldest and most celebrated contemporary dance company the world. Before her death in 1991 at the age of 97, Graham choreographed almost 200 works, including Appalachian Spring (Aaron Copland), Cave of the Heart (Samuel Barber) and Hsdiade (Paul Hindemith). Buckman is thrilled to host the Graham Company's Memphis debut and residency in partnership with the New Ballet Ensemble with the support of the First Tennessee Bravo Award.
