Conservation Through Art 2008

Conservation Through Art (CTA), a groundbreaking program founded in 2005 by ArtsMemphis and Ducks Unlimited, was a tremendous success this year! As in previous years, we aimed to generate wide public awareness and raise significant funds for wildlife conservation and local arts groups.

Walk Through the Woods
On Wednesday, October 15 local media and community leaders were led on a very exciting nature walk by students of the Great Outdoors University. Click here to see video footage of the event.

Family Day at Shelby Farms
Family Day 2008 was a huge hit! Thanks to everyone who came out to Shelby Farms Park on a beautiful Sunday to celebrate the arts and the outdoors.  Over 500 children and families enjoyed an afternoon packed with great activities. We extend our gratitude to Baptist Memorial Health Care for making Family Day possible, and to Whole Foods and Crayons All-Natural Beverages for the fantastic snacks!
