MADELINE’S CHRISTMAS

GCT’s hit musical Madeline’s Christmas, a return engagement from last year, will hold auditions Saturday, September 20th from 1-4pm and Sunday, September 21 6-8:30pm. Callbacks, if necessary, will be Monday September 22 at 6pm. Note: all roles are open and uncast – so there’s lots of opportunities!

Needed: For each production:

12 girls ages 6-18

2 women, 20s-50s

1 man, 20s-50s

Required: Auditionees will read from the script and sing 16 bars from the

Musical of their choice (please bring sheet music). An accompanist will be provided, but actors may sing with a tape or cd. No a capella please.

Production Runs: AM version runs Dec. 2-19, 9:30am and 11am M-F

PM version runs Dec 5-21, 7pm Thurs-Sat, 5pm Sat and 2:30pm Sun

Director Julia Hinson is the Education and Outreach Director for GCT, where she has previously directed ANDROCLES AND THE LION for our All Children’s Theatre program and CRIMES OF THE HEART on our Mainstage.

"In an old house in Paris that was covered with vines lived twelve little girls in two straight lines." So begins this delightful story of Madeline's Christmas! The day begins like any other day. Miss Clavel takes the twelve little girls on their morning walk. They go to the zoo and then back to school for their French history lesson. Suddenly disaster strikes when everyone gets the flu! Everyone that is, except for the ever-resilient Madeline. Saddened that they may not be able to go home for Christmas, the girls and Miss Clavel take to their beds. But on Christmas Eve, the adventure begins when there is a knock at the front door…”
