  we began considering ARTAFACTOR 2009\, Pam McDonnell (ARTAFACTOR 2009 Pre
 mier Artist)\, told us what she wanted to express in her work for this yea
 r's grand affair and we...well...fell in love! \nPam got us all heated up 
 talking about the uniquely seductive power of the arts.\nLike a great love
  affair\, art has the power to transform and to allow us to see the world 
 through the eyes of our heart. An experience of a great painting\, photogr
 aph or performance can be a swooning\, roller coaster ride that leaves us 
 dizzy and wanting more...lots more! Some of us can surely attest to it alw
 ays feeling like the first time...\nARTAFACTOR 2009\, An Affair of the Art
 s\, continues our tradition of an intimate evening at the home of our city
 's finest arts patrons and the opportunity to enjoy a private date with a 
 notable and rarely seen collection of art. The perfect way to fall in love
 .\nFrom there\, the tradition ends\nWe are orchestrating a soiree worthy o
 f this fine romance like never before. And\, while every romance needs a l
 ittle mystery\, here's a bit of a tease...\nJoin us for a cocktail supper 
 and the warm hospitality of Deborah and Bob Craddock as they welcome us fo
 r an evening filled with surprises\, interludes\, the unexpected and-hopef
 ully-a bit of the sublime.\nBut we're starting early with private auctions
  leading up to as well as that evening. These private bidding auctions tha
 t will be announced leading up to the event will offer a brief\, intense b
 idding period of some truly unique and original works of art\, design and 
 imaginatively conceived experiences commissioned especially and only for A
 RTAFACTOR 2009. A carefully curated collection of national\, international
 ly prominent\, and the finest artists of our region all were salivating to
  create for this special evening.\nYou will be entertained and entranced b
 y clectic and extraordinary performances by the outstanding performing art
 ists of Memphis and the Delta throughout the affair.\nThen wind down (or u
 p...) by dancing away the last hours under the starlight\, candlelight and
  and sparkling chandeliers beneath poolside and beneath a perfect canopy o
 f sweeping Southern trees.\nFinally the ARTAFACTOR host committe\, artist
